Mosquito bites

I hate them! Loath them with a passion stronger than any passion I have. They make my go completely crazy, bonkers if like to call it that. I got those on my legs yesterday as we ventured out as a family to the Fantastic Umbrella Factory (FUF)in Charlestown, RI. It had been raining, and started to rain again as we were there. The FUF being an open "farm" so to speak was the perfect breeding ground for Mosquitos and they just couldn't resist my fantastically sweet blood. Oh how I loath them, as I sit here and itch beyond believe!

The FUF was a fantastic place to take the family and we need to go again soon, both when its not raining, and no one in the family has a potty accident! Hard to believe that my almost 8 year old still has potty accidents. Just goes to show how unfocused and little attention span she has unfortunately. The FUF has a bamboo forest (that's where to accident happened) which is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in a long time. I must take my camera with me next time I go, make sure both kids have gone potty and lather butt ton of OFF! on my legs!

--> speaking off, did I mention how much I'm ITCHING!!! <--

Anywho, I'm going to let this be enough for the time being. Big Brother is on, my bottle of Sam Adams Summer Ale is open and I need to focus on something else than my bites.

Wordless Wednesday

Tomorrow

I'm going to start taking care of me! I spend all my time taking care of others and forget to be me, forget to take care of me. The only thing I do for myself every day is make a cup of coffee for myself in the morning. I'm going to start being a little selfish and do what makes me happy. I think that is a good plan. We will see how tomorrow goes and I'll tell you about my "selfish" adventures ;)

Last day of school

As the title says, today is last day of school in our city. It's a bitter sweet moment as we say goodbye to Kindergarten for Mr. Man as he enters 1st grade, and Miss P will be entering 3rd grade. As a parent, and ore so as a teacher, I'm extremely exited for 3rd grade for Miss P, the changes, the challenges. They are no longer babies just learning their ABCs or learning simple math. This next school year will bring multiplication and division, cursive writing, more detailed science and social studies. Mr. Man also has a LOT of changes ahead of him. Going from half day kindergarten to a full day brings lots of changes for my little sensitive boy. The lunch room, being all day in school, homework and more to name few. I just hope his principle will consider my request to move him to the teacher I requested for him.

Today is field day at school and I was there this morning helping out. It was fun and I got to talk to one of the 3rd grade teachers which was nice. I was lucky enough to have Miss P's class as the first class on my station :)

Love,
Mrs. T
